The Ski Area COO Summit
WINTER IN SUMMIT COUNTY STARTS HERE
The Ski Area COO Summit is Summit County’s unofficial kick-off to winter — a high-energy gathering that brings together the Chief Operating Officers of A-Basin, Breckenridge, Copper, Keystone, and Loveland on one stage. Designed for business leaders, winter sports enthusiasts, and second homeowners alike, the event offers an inside look at what’s new on the mountains, what improvements were made over the summer, and what to expect in the season ahead. Paired with a tourism trends update, the Summit delivers real-time insights that help local businesses plan for winter while giving skiers and riders the scoop on their favorite resorts. At the same time, it remains the largest business networking event in Summit County, bringing the community together to reconnect, build relationships, and share the excitement of winter’s return.
Last year’s Summit at the Keystone Conference Center was the largest yet, welcoming nearly 600 attendees in person, with many more tuning in via the live broadcast offered since 2020. Business owners, industry professionals, elected officials, second homeowners, and passionate skiers and riders gathered to hear directly from resort leadership, catch up with colleagues and friends, and soak in the buzz created by hype videos, engaging presentations, and a shared sense of momentum heading into ski season.
The experience goes beyond the stage. Guests enjoy a delicious breakfast buffet, a high-value swag bag for in-person attendees — often including perks like a free Loveland lift ticket, Frisco Adventure Park tubing or terrain park access, ice skating rentals, dining offers, and more — with a value that frequently meets or exceeds the ticket price. A popular auction rounds out the morning with unbeatable deals on a wide variety of items. Looking ahead, due to scheduling considerations, the 2026 Ski Area COO Summit will be held Friday, October 9 at Copper Mountain Resort, with Beaver Run returning as host in 2027. Whether you come for the insights, the connections, or the stoke — the COO Summit is where Summit County comes together to prepare for winter.
