We’re proud to shine this month’s Member Spotlight on Quikrete, a company that has quickly become a valued part of the Summit County community since acquiring Summit Materials earlier this year.
In just a few short months, Quikrete has shown what true community partnership looks like – stepping up to support cornerstone local events including the Breck International Festival of Arts (BIFA), the Summit Rugby Team, and most notably, the Ski Area COO Summit, the Chamber’s largest annual event and primary fundraiser.
When a last-minute sponsorship opening came up, Quikrete didn’t hesitate to say yes. Their support went beyond the sponsorship itself – they generously donated their stage time before more than 600 attendees to the Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center (BOEC), giving the nonprofit an opportunity to celebrate its 50th anniversary and share its incredible mission of empowering individuals with disabilities and special needs through outdoor experiences.
We’d also like to give a special shoutout to Eric Leigh, Land & Resource Manager, whose leadership, integrity, and enthusiasm have made a lasting impression. Eric has been instrumental in building authentic relationships across the community, embodying the connection and collaboration that make Summit County so special.
